Terling had another double winning weekend!!
Batting first, Ingatestone posted 214 all out with John Marshall (3-15); Owen Dawson (3-23 off 8); Craig Twin (2-44 off 9) the pick of the bowlers. Special mention to Charlie Gibson, who took a wicket for once and amazingly he didnt bowl a wide!
In reply, Max Castledine smashed 94 before holing out looking to bring up his ton with a 6! He was supremely supported by Keith Dawson, who knocked 57 off the total. This openeing pairs partnership of 137 broke Ingatestones resolve and it was left to OD and AT to bring it home. 25 points means we remain in the promotion spots as we travel to High Roding next week for a must win game!
Over at Danbury, Russell Thorpe was thrown in as skipper - as Adam Twins private jet was delayed, Luke Wilsher was in the 1's and James Atkinson was in Skegness.
Danbury won the toss and chose to field first. Bad move! Tim Harrison and Rahul Jagota set about the opening bowlers with gusto. When Harrison was bowled, Greg Oldham took on the baton (58) and then Dinseh Pitchai (71) to ensure Terling scored an imposing 308-6
Danbury openend with danger man Hal Pearson, who stroked a few fours before Joe Matthams splattered his stumps - one of 6 victims for Joe! (6-25 off 8) Joe was backed up by Oldham who bowled miserly, Mark Ovenden (3-10) and Kieren Mustone (1-1) and victory was wrapped up in only 18.2 overs and for just 62 runs.
Top of the table with 4 to play. A weekend off this week, so time for a rest!
